Karen is the award-winning author of more than 400 feature articles and essays. She writes for both U.S. and Canadian magazines.

She’s also a content writer, writing coach, and live storyteller. She writes on a broad range of topics, but she lives by her golden rule: “if you want to make a good story better, put a dog in it.”

Karen writes from her farm in the northwest hills of Connecticut. She shares her life with her awesome husband, two horses, two super-cool dogs, and whoever else may trundle through in the night.

You’re one of the nicest and most gifted writers I’ve had the honor to work with.
— Kelly Ballou, editor Equine Journal
Not only is your writing first rate, but you found and deftly used good sources.
